The third single released by LA-based Forever X2, “Walk the Ocean” is a song about living life a little dangerously and shooting high. It’s a simple composition, but the confident anthemic style is more than enough to get you nodding your head- if not dancing altogether. Fuzzy guitars and 90’s-inspired synths offer that hint of grunge, while the vocal effects and tight drum beat offer a bit of Brit-pop into the mix. Peter Verdell’s vocals are brimming with confidence and style, and really propel “Walk the Ocean” into the party-ready amplifying track that it is.
FROM THE ARTIST:
“I wanted to channel 90’s bands like Blur and Beck, without coming across nostalgic. This is a song about staying out late and taking risks. I think we all have a bit of magic in us…like walking on water…but we can’t see that magic if we play it safe.”
